The source code for Grand Theft Auto 5 was allegedly disclosed on Christmas Eve, somewhat more than a year after the Lapsus$ threat actors infiltrated Rockstar games and illicitly obtained business data.

The source code was distributed through various channels, including as Discord, a dark web platform, and a Telegram channel that the hackers had previously utilized to disclose pilfered Rockstar data.

‘Phil’, the owner of a Telegram channel dedicated to leaking Grand Theft Auto content, recently shared links to the illicitly obtained source code. Alongside this, he also provided a screenshot showcasing one of the files containing the stolen material.
