Major Sports Streaming Piracy Ring Dismantled by ACE

The Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) has successfully shut down the largest illegal sports streaming operation in its history. The Vietnam-based Markkystreams network, which garnered over 821 million visits in the previous year, primarily targeted audiences in North America.

The operation illegally broadcasted daily sports events from major U.S. and global leagues, significantly impacting ACE members including DAZN, beIN Sports, and Canal+. In a decisive action, ACE secured control of 138 domains, including popular platforms like bestsolaris.com, streameast.to, and markkystreams.com.

“This shutdown represents a significant victory in our fight against live sports piracy,” stated Larissa Knapp, Executive Vice President at the Motion Picture Association. She emphasized the particular threat to live sports broadcasting, where content loses substantial value after the event concludes.

ACE, a coalition of over 50 media and entertainment companies including industry giants like Amazon, Netflix, and Warner Bros. Discovery, has maintained an aggressive stance against digital piracy since its 2017 inception. The organization’s track record includes taking down major platforms such as Openload, Streamango, and recently, the popular anime site Zoro.to.

Working alongside law enforcement agencies including the U.S. Department of Justice, Europol, and Interpol, ACE continues to target large-scale illegal streaming operations. Recent successes include dismantling a network generating monthly revenues of €250 million and securing convictions against operators of the Jetflicks illegal streaming service.
