Law Enforcement Dismantles Major Cybercrime Platforms in International Operation

In a significant cybersecurity operation dubbed “Operation Talent,” international law enforcement agencies have successfully taken down several prominent cybercrime platforms, including Cracked, Nulled, Sellix, and StarkRDP.

The operation, involving authorities from Australia, France, Greece, Italy, Romania, Spain, and the United States, along with Europol, targeted domains such as cracked.io, nulled.to, mysellix.io, sellix.io, and starkrdp.io. These platforms, with over 10 million combined users, served as underground marketplaces for illegal goods and crimeware solutions.

Key Developments:
– Two suspects arrested
– Seven properties searched
– 17 servers and 50+ electronic devices seized
– €300,000 in cash and cryptocurrency confiscated
– Estimated €1 million in total criminal profits

The platforms facilitated the distribution of various malicious tools, including ScrubCrypt malware and AI-based security vulnerability scanning tools. Sellix, a financial processor, and StarkRDP, a hosting service, were also dismantled during the operation.

German authorities identified eight individuals involved, including two German citizens aged 29 and 32, with other suspects ranging from 21 to 29 years old. This operation represents a significant blow to cybercriminal infrastructure, particularly targeting platforms that enabled less technically-skilled individuals to conduct cyberattacks.
