
Microsoft has announced that Windows 11 version 24H2, also known as the Windows 11 2024 Update, is now entering broad deployment. The update is available to all eligible devices through Windows Update, including PCs currently running Windows 10 22H2.
Users can check for the update by navigating to Settings > Windows Update and selecting “Check for updates.” Eligible devices will see the option to “Download and install Windows 11, version 24H2.”
Microsoft has begun automatically installing Windows 11 24H2 on non-managed systems running Windows 11 22H2 and 23H2 (Home and Pro editions). The update process involves a complete operating system swap.
For users who wish to delay the update, a temporary pause is available through Settings > Windows Update. However, installation will be required once the delay period expires.

– ASUS devices
– Systems with Auto HDR enabled
– PCs with Dirac audio software
– Devices running Asphalt 8 (Airborne)
– Systems with integrated cameras
– PCs using Safe Exam Browser
– Devices with Easy Anti-Cheat applications
Microsoft has provided support documentation and troubleshooting guides for users experiencing difficulties during the upgrade process. Systems affected by compatibility holds will not receive the update until these issues are resolved.
