Flipper Devices has introduced BUSY Bar, an open-source productivity tool specifically designed to assist individuals with ADHD in maintaining focus and reducing distractions. The device addresses common ADHD symptoms including difficulty focusing, distractibility, disorganization, impulsivity, and restlessness.
## Features and Functionality
BUSY Bar incorporates several key features:
– LED display for visual feedback
– Fidget buttons for tactile stimulation
– Built-in Pomodoro timer for structured work sessions
– Companion app for iOS and Android that mutes notifications
– Smart home integration to optimize working environments
When activated in “BUSY Mode,” the device displays a personalized message with a countdown timer while automatically silencing notifications across connected devices. The smart home integration works with both Apple and Google Home ecosystems, allowing users to control lighting, music, blinds, and other connected devices to create an ideal productivity environment.
## Company Vision
“We aim to create a fun, customizable, and practical tool that helps you maintain deep focus,” explained Pavel Zhovner, co-founder and CEO of Flipper Devices. “Context switching consumes a lot of energy—when you’re interrupted while deeply focused on a task, it becomes much harder to refocus and continue where you left off. This is where BUSY Bar comes in.”
## Availability and Pricing
BUSY Bar represents Flipper Devices’ second hardware product following the successful Flipper Zero, which has sold over 500,000 units and generated more than $100 million in revenue since 2020. Pre-sales for the BUSY Bar have begun on the official website at $249, with a Kickstarter campaign planned for this summer offering special deals and perks.
The company reports that development is in its final stages, with the first units expected to ship before year-end. The hardware is already in the EVT (Engineering Validation Test) stage, indicating advanced development compared to their previous product launch.
